EXT SPACE

THE SPACESHIP AND ASTRONAUGHT WILL GO AROUND A FEW PLANETS FROM OUR SOLAR SYSTEM AND SAY THE NAME TO THE AUDIENCE AS IT FLIES PAST.

Spaceman begins from flying around the sun and quickly zooms on past more planets

SPACEMAN/SHIP V.O.

Hello, and welcome to my space exploration! Let’s go!

THE SPACESHIP WILL BEGIN FLYING BEHIND THE SUN AND MOVE TOWARDS MERCURY. (ELECTRICAL ENGINE/BOOSTING SOUND EFFECTS)

This is Mercury. It is the closest planet to the Sun.

THE SPACESHIP THEN MOVES ON TOWARDS VENUS. (BOOST AND PLANET SPIN/WOOSHING SOUND EFFECTS)

This planet is Venus. Venus is the only planet to spin clockwise on its axis. It is the second closest planet to the Sun. Let’s move on to our home.

THE SPACESHIP DARTS ACROSS THE VAST EMPTINESS AND ARRIVES AT EARTH. (DEEP SPACE SOUND EFFECTS AND ELECTRICAL/ FURTURISTIC SOUNDS)

This is our home, Planet Earth. Earth isn’t actually perfectly round. Earth’s surface is mainly water at nearly 70%. Let’s move on!

THE SPACESHIP BEGINS AGAIN BEFORE SHORTLY ARRIVING AT MARS. (ROCKY SOUND EFFECTS AND SPACESHIP SLOWING DOWN)

This is Mars. Companies such as Space X and NASA have been working to begin colonisation of Mars, so that people can live there. Mars is very similar to Earth however it has a very small atmosphere, polar ice caps, canyons and extinct volcanoes, and evidence that it was active many millions of years ago.

THE SPACESHIP BEGINS AGAIN AND MOVES ON IN THE LINE TO ARRIVE AT JUPITER.

This giant is called Jupiter. It is twice as big as all of the planets in our solar system combined. The beautiful stripes and swirls are actually cold, windy clouds of ammonia and water in an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium.

THE LAST TIME THE SPACESHIP SETS OFF AND HEADS OVER TO SATURN.

This is the final stop of our trip. This planet is Saturn. The rings that surround it is not solid so you cannot stand on them. Did you know Saturn could float in a giant pool of water because it’s mostly made of gas?

OUTRO

Thank you all for coming with me on my adventure and I hope you all learnt lot’s about these planets.

THE END

In Unit 2 I learned about pre-production documents and the purpose they serve in the creation of a product.

Throughout unit 2 I learned about the importance that pre-production has on a project. I created documents such as risk assessments, recces and call sheets. The importance of pre-production enables me to gather all necessary materials and ensure I have the time, place and equipment to record my sounds.

Asset log:

This is my asset log, which contains all sounds and equipment I plan to use.  It shows the location, format, creation date, latest updates and target audience. As my animation is a children's animation, my sounds are are all suited to children aged 3-10-years-old.

On a home speaker system it has a measurement of 0dB and it will add to the sound. The amplifier can then change the sound by adding decibels or removing decibels. 0dB means nothing is happening with the sound and it is de-amplified.

0DB is the lowest sound pressure for human hearing and 120DB being the threshold for pain. 0DB is loud and home amplifiers use 0DB as a reference level for how much volume they can output.

-40 dB is a comfortable listening level for humans as it is loud enough to hear but not too loud to where it might cause damage. DVD's typically are softer sound.
